In lieu of traveling to an eye camp in 1999, The Eye Center sponsored foreign doctors to come to the United States for further training. Dr Albera Theodossovia and Dr Karen Krachkov of Bulgaria received advanced training at Dr. John H. Haines' alma mater, the University of Utah, via The Eye Center support.
