Christmas in Thailand? Absolutely! Each team member responded in kind as we scheduled this once again phenomenal trip. We re-united with a former team member Jodi Arculares who had married and moved to Idaho. Her new husband was to have his first taste of South East Asia.
After the obligatory two days in Bangkok adjusting from jet lag we set off by bus for Chaiyaphum Province. We were greeted by the local government officials with dancing and musical theater before commencing our work.
The next three days were filled with cases until 148 eyes now viewed their world again. Again we were entertained by happy patients, talented staff and government officials. Dancing, singing and speeches were given. A feast prepared in gratitude was enjoyed. What’s not to like about their food at Christmas. We were home bound by New Years.
